Coyaba Tropical Bed and Breakfast welcomes travelers who are looking for beach and jungle adventures in Costa Rica.  With the recent completion of our Spanish Colonial building restoration project, which included major renovations and room upgrades, we are now focused on the goal of becoming one of Costa Rica's premier Bed and Breakfast style hotels located at the edge of the rainforest.  

If you are looking for casual elegance, yet modest priced quality accommodations that can be used as a base to explore the Central Pacific region, then Coyaba Tropical Bed and Breakfast provides a unique fusion of Jamaican and Canadian hospitality in an ideal location close to everything, attractions, adventure tours, shopping, restaurants, and beaches.

With so many places to stay why choose us? 
There are many options to choose from in Manuel Antonio, but Coyaba Tropical truly offers something special. Not the same generic decor that greets you at every motel, or the same metal buffet platter full of scrambled eggs next to little prefabricated plastic jelly dispensers.

Coyaba Tropical is as much alive with character inside as its walls as outside. The charm begins even before you're greeted with a smile at the front door. The property is surrounded by trees and lush greenery, making it a tropical paradise.  Our bed and breakfast accommodation is centrally located on the main road leading to Manuel Antonio National Park with easy access to the Beach and convenient public transit just outside our gate. The serpentine road passes over a number of hills awash with picturesque views of forested slopes leading down to the palm-fringed coastline.  We are just three kilometres from the famous white sand beaches and National Park, and one kilometre from the charming port town of Quepos.  The staff at Coyaba Tropical are very knowledgeable on local attractions and arranging adventure tours, as well as recommending places for shopping, fine dining, bars, and clubbing.

And when you return from a full day at the beach, adventure tours, hiking/nature watching or night on the town, our guests feel like they're returning home for the evening. No drab, cold, endless lobbies and hallways to drag your tired feet through on the way to your room. You'll never be confined to a tiny boxy room. Instead you can relax by the waterfall next to our sheltered lounge, and outdoor kitchen.  Then, in the morning wake up to the inviting aroma of freshly baked bread, and home cooked breakfast, made to order! Relax with a cup of delicious Costa Rican Coffee or a selection from our Tea assortment before you start your day. And when you return, you won't be returning to your hotel room, but home.        


Where are we and how to you get to Quepos/Manuel Antonio?
There are many different Car Rental companies to choose from in Costa Rica which is why we only recommend local companies who offer clients good rates and reliable vehicles such as Adobe Car Rental and Rent a Car 4x4 with great deals; free cell phone, GPS, international call cards and savings in All-Inclusive rental packages. 

Adventurous travelers may want to check out the Public Bus service with multiple departures daily leaving downtown San Jose for Quepos/Manuel Antonio.  While this service is pretty reliable and inexpensive however we recommend using extreme caution with your luggage and personal possessions.  

For air conditioned comfort, safety and convenience, we can arrange a shared ride shuttle service from San Jose that will drop you off at our front door, or if you prefer we would be pleased to arrange for a private driver to greet you at the SJO airport and bring you directly to Quepos/Manuel Antonio.  

Finally if you just want to get to the beach quickly, either of the two domestic airlines will get you here in just 20 minutes with multiple flights daily.  Check out flight schedules with Sansa or Nature Air.
